What to keep, what to cull?
One of the things you need to look great every day is a wardrobe full of things that look fantastic on you. Achieving that is as much about what you get rid of as it is about what you buy.
Here’s Fabulously Broke in the City’s wardrobe clean out guidelines — and anything that meets these criteria probably doesn’t deserve its place in your wardrobe either!
- Old-looking. Example: the black looks grey, or is pilling in noticeable spots.
- Doesn’t fit.
- Just doesn’t look right on me or doesn’t feel right on me. As in the colour is off for my skintone, or it fits but it looks… strange.
- It isn’t my style any more. I’ve been a goth, a punk, a clubber, a raver…
